Ducklings Pre-School started out as Creaton Playgroup in 1971. Over forty years later we are a thriving village Pre-School providing high quality childcare and education to children in and around Creaton village.

At Ducklings we provide a wide range of fresh and engaging activities for the children to experience, all designed to inspire and drive children's learning through play, and develop their curiosity. We pride ourselves on our 'child-led' approach to planning which enables us to tailor learning experiences to each child's individual interests.

With an emphasis on outdoor learning, we spend much of our time outdoors. Our fantastic outdoor facilities offer something really special to the children who attend Ducklings (take a look at the setting gallery!). With a huge amount of outside space which includes a fort, dens, tunnels, nature garden, allotment and greenhouse, mud kitchen, play house, large playground and grassy areas, there's no end to the fun & learning.

Ducklings is a voluntary managed registered charity which is run by a committee. The committee is made up of parent/carer volunteers who oversee the management of the setting and support the staff in realising their vision for the pre-school.

We have an incredibly dedicated team of staff at Ducklings who go above and beyond in their duties to deliver outstanding care and learning experiences to the children. The staff meet regularly to discuss planning ideas but, even outside of working hours, are in constant contact through whatsapp sharing ideas for the next day. Their enthusiasm, expertise and commitment is what makes Ducklings such a special setting.
